Activity gating

Scope​

The activityGating feature flag already exists. An Activity can carry a gate condition: complete N chores, earn N tokens, or complete a specific routine. When the gate is met the activity shows as unlocked in the Catalog. Intended to make screen-time or outings contingent on contributions, without being punitive.

Open questions​

  • Is the gate evaluated on chore completion or on token earn (approval)?
  • Can multiple chores together gate a single activity (AND logic)?
  • Who sees the gate status — child only, or also parent?
  • Does gate reset daily/weekly, or is it a one-time unlock?
