Step breakdown

Scope​

The stepBreakdown feature flag exists. When enabled, a chore can carry an ordered list of sub-steps the child checks off sequentially. Each step is a short plain-text instruction. Pairs with routines (step-level granularity within one chore) and visual-timers (per-step timing).

Open questions​

  • Are steps admin-defined only, or can a child add/reorder their own steps?
  • Does checking off all steps auto-mark the chore complete, or does the child still tap "done"?
  • Does partial step completion carry over if the child pauses mid-chore?
  • Should a photo submission attach to the whole chore or to individual steps?
